  Camping on an island surrounded by the ocean? Picturesque one and a half mile loop around the perimeter? Check, check. Even with a morning of rain, we enjoyed our two night stay at Graves. Took time to go into Lunenburg during the rain, and enjoyed the sunshine and night sky on the other times. Wish the fire pits were a bit more manageable, which was only complaint

  This is a beautiful park. Love the gated security and the sites were large and spaced out. We had an ocean view. It was wonderful. Cheap Fire wood and the launch ramp was perfect for our paddle boards. Tons of walking trails.

  Beautiful park and Campground. Very nice tent and RV sites with great views of the ocean. They allow fires in a pit. They sell firewood, and ice at the main gate. Immaculate grounds. Staff are very friendly. Bonnie was really helpful. We stayed at site 100 in a tent. Sites 100 and 101 are the nicest for camping in a tent, in our opinion.

  The tent site we had was at the base of the hill (a ditch has been dug around it for protection) and didn't have much in the way of shade / privacy. However, it was a late booking for a 1 time stop, so it was adequate.

  There is a nice walking trail along the outside with some nice views out over the water.

  The down side - the washrooms (female) was gross and dirty. I used the trailer shower for the first time ever to avoid going into the park facilities.

  Provincially run campground, well maintained. Pleasant and accommodating staff. Dump station is near the exit, washrooms are decent but could do with an update. A dishwashing station is located just outside the washrooms. Full hook-up and unserviced sites available. Sites are fairly level. Not much tree cover though and privacy is above average. The campground has a nice trail leading to the water where you can see ducks swim and nice landscapes of the open water. About 45 minutes from Halifax and close to Peggy’s Cove.
